Spring 2009 Route Changes

New WestCAT schedules will be introduced soon to coincide with the opening of the new Hercules Transit Center on Willow Avenue. In terms of implementation of the schedule changes, weather has caused some minor delays on the construction and opening, but we are currently anticipating being able to begin operation of the new schedule around mid April.
There are no plans to raise fares with this new schedule. The goal of the changes is to keep as much service on the street as possible while achieving a sustainable level of service.
Detailed below are the changes to the schedule that the WestCAT Board directed staff to make at the February Board meeting:
Weekday
- Routes 10 - 40 minute headway's (previously 30 minute intervals)
- Routes 11 - 40 minute headway's (previously 30 minute intervals)
- Routes 12 - 40 minute headway's (previously 30 minute intervals)
- Routes 15 - 40 minute headway's (previously 30 minute intervals)
- Route 19 – Weekday Service eliminated Monday-Friday
- Route C3 – Elimination of last two runs of the day.
- Route J - Late night (after 8pm) - 40 minute headway
Saturday
- Route J - Evening - Will operate on a 40 minute headway (previously 30 minute intervals)
Sunday
- Route J – Will operate on a 40-minute headway (previously 30 minute intervals)
