- WestCAT has consistently outperformed its relative position in the 9-county bay area in every category in MTC's statistical summary of bay area transit operators.
- Of the 23 bay area transit systems, WestCAT ranks 16th in Total Operating Budget (a good measure of its relative position).
- It ranks 14th in total passengers carried;
13th in passengers per hour;
6th highest in farebox recovery percentage;
6th in lowest cost per passenger;
6th in total trips per person in its service area (behind SF Muni, BART, AC Transit, VTA and SamTrans);

- It has maintained the lowest hourly operating cost of any express bus operator in the region throughout the 14 years since BART transitioned the express services to the local operators.
- Despite its small staff, WestCAT has implemented a successful real time information system offering departure predictions for every stop and every route it operates. This is integrated with the region's 511 system, and WestCAT remains the only transit agency in the bay area to have met accuracy and performance standards for real-time transit information.
