Bay Area Bridge Toll Increase

On July 1, 2010 bridge tolls across the Bay Area will increase by $1.00 to $5.00 on all bridges except the Bay Bridge. In addition, there will be no more free passage for carpools. The Bay Bridge toll will be based on congestion pricing and during peak commute hours will be $6 ($4 off-peak and $5 on weekends). For the first time, carpools on all Bay Area toll bridges will also pay $2.50, which can be paid only by FasTrak.  Carpools without FasTrak will be required to pay the same toll as non-carpools.

We would like you to know that WestCAT is not raising our prices and we still offer some of the best deals in the Bay Area for your commute!  You can still purchase a general public 31-day unlimited ride bus pass for $140 and $70 for senior/disabled for the WestCAT Lynx transbay service travelling weekdays to and from the Hercules Transit Center and the San Francisco Transbay Terminal (stops also include the Willow Park & Ride lot, Bio-Rad, and Victoria by the Bay).   Also available are $50 general public and $20 senior/disabled 10-ride passes for the Lynx (these passes do not expire until all of the rides have been used).  All passes are valid from first day of use.  One-way cash fare on the Lynx: general public $5 and senior/disabled $2.  We offer free Wi-Fi on all Lynx buses and a safe and stress-free ride.

For express bus (to/from BART), regional bus (to/from CC College or to/from Martinez) and local WestCAT riders you have several options.  You can purchase a day pass directly from the driver for $3.50 for general public or $1.75 for senior/disabled allowing you to travel in any direction all day on and off all WestCAT services (Lynx to/from SF excluded).  You can purchase a $20 general public or $7.50 senior/disabled stored value pass, which works like a BART card and does not expire until all of the value has been used.  You can purchase a $40 general public or $20 senior/disabled 31-day unlimited use bus pass or a $60 East Bay Value Pass valid for select local and regional travel on WestCAT, Tri-Delta Transit and County Connection buses.  One-way local/express cash fare on WestCAT: general public $1.75 and senior/disabled $0.75.

Lastly, when parking at the Hercules Transit Center you have a choice between two monthly parking permits. One permit is for parking only (at $63.00 per month) and the other includes both a monthly parking permit and a 31-day WestCAT bus pass (at $80.00 per month, excludes Lynx). Single day parking permits are also available and include a single day transit pass ($3.00 per day).
