Welcome to WestCAT Dial-A-Ride. This section will help educate you on how to use our system.
Dial-A-Ride
Dial-A-Ride is a curb-to-curb service for senior/disabled passengers throughout the WestCAT service area, operating Mon-Sat. General public Dial-A-Ride is also available Mon-Fri for passengers from Crockett, Port Costa, Rodeo, and the Viewpointe area served by WestCAT Route 15 traveling to the Hercules Transit Center to connect with local fixed routes, and express buses. On Saturdays only, same day service is available to all passengers traveling anywhere within the service area. Priority is given to seniors and disabled passengers. Other passengers will be picked-up and dropped-off along the way. Also, you will need to wait for the bus at the curb. WestCAT drivers will not come to your door.
For fare and ticket information or to register for the first time call 724-7993. Once you are registered, call 724-7433 (RIDE) to schedule your trip. Weekday trips must be scheduled at least 24-hrs in advance, although passengers may reserve rides up to 3 days in advance. Reservations are only accepted between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Saturday.
To Schedule a Group Dial-A-Ride Trip (to qualify for service you must be a senior citizen at least 65 years old, a person with a disability, or a Medicare card holder). Please Call (510) 724-3331 Extension 17 at least 1 week before. We are now offering trips to the Hilltop Shopping Center and surrounding area.
Special Transportation Outside WestCAT Service Area
Mon-Fri, WestCAT also offers Special curb-to-curb transportation for senior/disabled by calling 724-7433. Reservations are accepted Mon-Fri only, from 10:00 am-5:00 pm. Discounted tickets are available for this service. Call 724-7993 for additional information about this service.
ADA Paratransit
All WestCAT vehicles are wheelchair equipped and WestCAT service is in full compliance with the American's with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. If a disability prevents you from using the fixed route system, call 724-6320 for an application.

Dial-A-Ride One-Way Fares
To receive a reduced fare, passengers must show one of the following: Drivers License (senior fare), Regional Transit Connection Discount Card, Medicare Card (not Medical) or DMV Disabled Identification Card (disabled fare).

*Please have the exact fare ready in cash or tickets. Drivers cannot make change. WestCAT Fixed Route, Martinez Link 30Z and Lynx tickets are not valid for use on WestCAT Dial-A-Ride or ADA Paratransit service.

Who Can Use Dial-A-Ride?
- 1) People with disabilities.
- 2) Seniors 65+.
- 3) M-F the general public in Port Costa, Crockett, and Rodeo may also use this service as far as the Hercules Transit Center because of the steep terrain in these communities.
- 4) Saturdays only, same day service is available to all passengers traveling anywhere within the WestCAT service area (priority for these trips is given to seniors and people with disabilities).
WestCAT vehicles are wheelchair lift equipped and WestCAT service is in full compliance with ADA requirements.
Dial-A-Ride Registration
Before using this service for the first time, call (510) 724-7993 to register.
Dial-A-Ride Reservations
Once registered, call (510) 724-7433 to book your trip.
Reservations must be made between the hours of 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Mon-Sat.
Trips should be scheduled at least one day prior to travel, although you may reserve a trip up to three days in advance.
Trips are booked on a "first-come, first-served" basis. There is no guarantee that the specific time a passenger wants will be available.
There is no Dial-A-Ride service on Sundays.
Dial-A-Ride Cancellation
Should you need to cancel a scheduled trip, you must do so at least 15 minutes before your scheduled ride in order to not be considered a "no-show". The Dial-A-Ride cancellation line is (510) 724-4466.
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
Paratransit Reservations
Once ADA certified, call (510) 724-6320 and our ADA Coordinator will book your entire trip and advise you of times and fares. For certification information call (510) 724-7993.
Reservations must be made between the hours of 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Sunday-Saturday.
Regional trips outside WestCAT service area require transfers to other operators. Call as soon as possible to book these trips. You may call up to 2 weeks in advance of your appointment.
