Some information about our transfer usage on WestCAT.
If you need to use more than one bus to get to your destination, ask for a transfer when you deboard the first bus. WestCAT transfers will be honored only on the day of issue at established transfer points within one hour of their time of issue. They will not be accepted on any line that will return the passenger to the area in which the transfer was originally issued, nor to reboard the same route. WestCAT accepts County Connection, Tri-Delta Transit, and Capital Corridor transfers with no additional fare at shared stops in Martinez only. Local transfers to another WestCAT bus to get to your destination are always free at shared stops.
Regarding "Capitol Corridor" train transfers: they are accepted on all WestCAT local and express routes with the exception of WestCAT's Transbay Lynx and Dial-A-Ride services. The transfer is free if properly validated. Upon boarding present the transfer to the transit operator who will place it into the fare-box where applicable. See Capitol Corridor's Transit Transfer page for more information. See Capitol Corridor's Transit Transfer page at the link below for more information.
