Rider Update - Effective 4/6/09
The latest news from BART, regarding the new Hercules Transit Center on Willow Avenue is that it will now not officially open until late June 2009. Therefore, the current WestCAT schedules dated: October 1, 2008 will remain in effect until that time. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause our passengers.
Customer Alert - Presale of Monthly Passes
During our transition to automated fareboxes onboard the WestCAT fixed route buses, the current monthly WestCAT punch passes will be available for sale only through September 2009. We expect to have all of the new fareboxes installed on the fixed route buses by late June or early July 2009. At which time, we will begin selling the new magnetic stripe passes. Another notice will be posted following full installation of the new fareboxes. Thank you for your cooperation.
Holiday Schedules
What route runs on what holiday? See our Holiday page for details. For the 4th of July weekend, WestCAT will operate regular service on July 3, 3009, but the WestCAT offices will be closed in observance of the holiday on that Friday. In addition, WestCAT will only operate "Sunday Express J" service on Saturday, July 4, 2009 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. [Holiday Schedules]

Spring 2009 Service Changes and New Hercules Transit Center
New WestCAT schedules will be introduced soon to coincide with the opening of the new Hercules Transit Center on Willow Avenue which we're still awaiting the exact date (Sometime in late June) of it's opening. There are no plans to raise fares with this new schedule. The goal of the changes is to keep as much service on the street as possible while achieving a sustainable level of service. WestCAT Lynx Stored Value Passes 
Now available from WestCAT, the new stored value Lynx passes! The new passes, good only on the Lynx, have a value of pass is equal to 10 one-way rides, good until all of the value is spent and then simply buy a new pass, no purchase date deadline, no limit on when pass must be used during the month and it does not expire until all the value is spent.
