WestCAT to Recall Out-of-Print 10-Ride Tickets

Pinole, October 28, 2009 – WestCAT is recalling all out-of-print 10-Ride Local/Express, Martinez 30Z and Lynx bus tickets. Tickets may be exchanged for the new electronic fare media in person or via mail at the WestCAT Administrative Office, located at 601 Walter Avenue, Pinole, CA  94564. Office hours are Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-6:00 PM, but will be closed for business on Veterans Day, November 11, 2009 and for Thanksgiving, November 26 & 27, 2009.

The last date to exchange tickets is December 15, 2009. After the deadline, the tickets will be discontinued and will no longer be accepted for fare or exchange. Upon verification, replacement orders will be processed.

Tickets will be replaced as “One ticket = One Ride.” Lynx Transbay tickets can only be exchanged for Lynx Transbay Rides. Local Fixed Route/Express and Martinez Link 30Z tickets can only be exchanged for Local Fixed Route/Express Rides.

Tickets with a red expiration date of September 30, 2008 are not eligible for this program.The ticket exchange does not apply to Dial-A-Ride or Regional Paratransit Tickets. No cash refunds or other form of exchange will be honored. Upgrades to monthly passes are not available.
