WestCAT kicks of its Annual Stuff-A-Bus Food & Toy Drive Now thru 12/18/2017

The public is invited to join representatives from the Western Contra Costa Transit Authority (WestCAT), the California Highway Patrol, and MV Transportation once again at one of our two annual Stuff-A-Bus holiday donation drives to be held in the Cities of Pinole and Hercules.  This is by far the WestCAT staff’s favorite annual event, which we are now in our 15th year.  Every year support from the community has grown.  Last year we were able to collect 1,395 lbs. of non-perishable food and approximately $2K in toy and cash donations, and “a partridge in a pear tree”!

This year we’ll be partnering once again with the Golden Gate Division of the California Highway Patrol in their “Chips for Kids” toy drive, and we will continue collecting food donations for the Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano. Toys must be new and unwrapped.  Food must be non-perishable; a list of acceptable items is available at  www.foodbankccs.org.  Monetary donations are also accepted.

We will be accepting donations on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 9:00am-4:00pm at the Safeway grocery store parking lot located at 1421 Tara Hills Dr., Pinole and on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 9:00am-4:00pm in the Lucky Supermarket parking lot located at 1590 Sycamore Ave, Hercules. Come help us to Stuff-A-Bus!  Stop by with your donations and take a photo with Santa Claus at the big decorated WestCAT bus.

Donations will also be accepted at our WestCAT office through Monday, December 18, 2017 at 601 Walter Ave., Pinole, from 8:00am -6:00pm, Monday-Friday.
